Our students live across the United States and work in a variety of settings, including governmental organizations, clinics and hospitals. Many work as private public health consultants. DMU has created course content relevant to a variety of real-world public health scenarios, which means you can apply what you’re learning in the classroom to what is happening on the job.
Courses can be taken asynchronously — meaning you can engage in content at the most convenient times for you. There are also plenty of opportunities for live engagement with faculty and other students so you can genuinely feel a part of the DMU community.
Public health is about elevating the health of all people and communities. Focusing on the root causes of health issues at the community and population levels, public health professionals work with a variety of sectors including leaders in health care, housing, transportation, planning, education and food systems, to address the structural determinants of health.
DMU is committed to preparing you to lead meaningful change as a forward-thinking public health professional.
