Our fully online program is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Management and is designed for working professionals. We are committed to developing competent and compassionate health care leaders and managers equipped to steer their organization through the changes and challenges in health care throughout the nation.

Our students live across the United States and work in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, governmental organizations and insurance companies. Many work as private health care consultants. DMU has created course content relevant to a variety of working health care professionals, which means you can apply what you’re learning in the classroom to what is happening on the job.

Although classes can be taken asynchronously — meaning you can engage in content at the most convenient times for you — many opportunities exist for live engagement with faculty and other students so you can feel like a genuine part of the DMU community. For example, most courses include live Zoom sessions to supplement the required learning activities.

As an active and respected member of the health care community, DMU ensures students regularly participate in seminars and other interprofessional experiences to gain the knowledge they need to serve their communities and organizations.

You’ll have ample opportunity for experiential and field-based learning. Complete required fieldwork or internships within your own organization or another organization of your choice. Relevant placement options also are available.

At DMU, you’re not just a number! Courses are capped at 30 students, so you can expect individual attention in your online classes. You’ll also experience full faculty support with individual academic and career counseling by doctoral-level trained faculty members as well as regular group advising sessions, coffee chats and many other opportunities for personal engagement. Our professors are experienced health care professionals and bring firsthand knowledge of the field into the classroom.
